Blåkläder Workwear becomes new Official Partner of IHF World Championship

The International Handball Federation (IHF) has signed a perennial official partnership with the Swedish company Blåkläder Workwear, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of workwear.

The partnership initially covers the up-and-coming IHF Men’s World Championships and will be visible for the audience and viewers when the first matches kick off in January 2023.

The partnership with IHF is a continuation of the successful collaboration between the parties in connection with the IHF World Championship in 2019. The new official partnership was brokered by the global sports marketing agency SPORTFIVE and covers multiple grand-scale championships for both women and men and thus spans several years.

“The handball world championships have proven to be a unique opportunity to activate our brand in a venue where many of our customers already are. Handball is an honest, fun, and intense sport with a growing global community, and we are therefore very proud to have entered this close partnership with the international organization behind the sport, says Kalle Larsson, Global Marketing Manager Blåkläder.

IHF too has great expectations for the future partnership with Blåkläder: “The IHF is proud to welcome Swedish workwear company Blåkläder to the 28th IHF Men's World Championship family. By joining us once again, Blåkläder prove their trust in handball, as we hope to build a fruitful long-lasting partnership in collaboration with IHF TV and Marketing Rights Partner SPORTFIVE. We are certain that handball fans will identify our common penchant for quality and 'stick together' with Blåkläder”, says IHF-President Dr. Hassan Moustafa.

With its down-to-earth nature and intensity, handball is a perfect fit for Blåkläder. The partnership offers the best opportunities to inspire the global handball audience for Blåkläder and to emotionally activate the brand.
